Zoho CRM
How to clean a CSV before importing into Zoho CRM
To clean a CSV for Zoho CRM: open it in Sift, approve the suggested fixes, dedupe by email, normalize phones and countries, map your columns to your Zoho module's fields, and check required fields like Last Name are filled. Sift runs entirely in your browser, so the file is never uploaded.

Why Zoho CRM imports go wrong
Most failed or messy Zoho CRM imports come down to a handful of issues:
- Duplicate leads or contacts, the import wizard matches on a unique field like Email; if the file itself carries duplicates, what gets added, skipped, or updated becomes unpredictable.
- Last Name is required, blank ones reject the row.
- Picklist mismatches, a Lead Source or Industry value that isn't in the picklist.
- Format noise, inconsistent phones, countries, dates, casing and whitespace.
Step by step
- Load the CSV into Sift. It profiles every column in your browser.
- Clean: approve trim, casing, fix-emails, normalize-phones and standardize-countries.
- Dedupe by email so Zoho's own duplicate handling has nothing to trip on.
- Map columns to your Zoho module's field names in Match & check (drop a Zoho sample export to learn its schema).
- Check readiness for blank required fields, then export and import (the module's Create dropdown → Import).
Tip: export a small sample from Zoho first and drop it into Sift as the target template; with sample rows Sift also learns the picklist values and flags out-of-set values before Zoho does.
